When picking a fight.

Ang mohs: Excuse me, is there anything you are not happy with me? Maybe we can sort it out.
S'poreans: Oi, where buay song. Come fight lahx.

When someone is talking on phone loudly & is sitting beside you.

Ang mohs: Excuse me, can you please lower down your voice. I will greatly appreciate that.
S'poreans: Oi. Diam diam lahx. Cha si mi.

When movie tickets are sold out.

Ang mohs: So what do you purpose since the movie tickets are sold out?
S'poreans: Oi, how arhx? Go where?

When discussing project:

Ang mohs: So how do you think we should proceed?
S'poreans: Dont ask mi lehx. Ask others lahx.

When asking people to move aside.

Ang mohs: Excuse me, can you let me through?
S'poreans: Oi siam lahx! Mai ta lor (dont block the way)

When farted in the lift.

Ang mohs: Excuse me.
S'poreans: Not mi, not mi.

When going to the toilets.

Ang mohs: If you would excuse me for a moment, I have to go to the gents/ladies. Please carry on without me, it would only take a moment.
S'poreans: Oi, wait. Buay tahan. toilets lehx? I go pang jio.

When being doubted.

Ang mohs: I don't recall owing you the money.
S'poreans: Where got? Dont bluff lahx. Any how say me.

When disagree with someone.

Ang mohs: Sorry, I don't think I agree with what you are trying to say.
S'poreans: Mai kao pei kao bu lahx.

When the weather is hot.

Ang mohs: The weather is so hot. How I wish I'm in a air-conditioned place.
S'poreans: Biang. Si bei hot. Why no air-con sia! Na bei.
